A midfielder, over four seasons at Cal Poly, Minter made 77 appearances (67 starts), recording 16 goals and 21 assists. He is tied for the all-time assists lead at Cal Poly. Additionally, he notched a career-best seven goals in each of the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He earned a Senior CLASS Award in 2015 and was named First Team All-Big West Conference in both 2014 and 2015.

Minter is the son of Mike and Lynn and has two older brothers, Dustin and Kyle. Minter has a variety of hobbies away from the pitch, including watching movies (his favorites include Good Will Hunting, Dead Poet's Society and V for Vendetta), reading novels about historical leaders and events and watching soccer and basketball. He is a fan of the Dallas Mavericks and enjoys watching FC Barcelona and AC Milan. If he could visit anywhere in the world on vacation, he would pick Bora Bora. He enjoys southern-style cooking. His favorite soccer memories include being drafted by Crew SC and winning a national championship with his club team. If he weren't a soccer player, he would like to attend culinary school with the aim of becoming a chef.
