Columbus Crew SC today announced that it will play a trio of additional preseason matches during its California training camp between January 25 and February 6. The Black & Gold will feature in a ticketed preseason match in Irvine, California before competing in a pair of friendlies on January 31 and February 4.
On Monday, January 28, Crew SC plays Japanese side Vissel Kobe of the J-League at 7 p.m. PT (10:00 p.m. ET) at Championship Soccer Stadium. For more information on the match, including ticket details, visit www.orangecountysoccer.com/vissel-kobe.
Crew SC rounds-out its friendlies in California with a pair of tune-ups: a friendly against Liga MX side Club Tijuana on January 31 in Chula Vista (closed to the public/open to media) and a preseason contest against fellow MLS side Los Angeles Football Club on February 4 at Banc of California Stadium (closed to the public/open to media).
An updated 2019 preseason schedule is provided below. Crew SC begins training on Wednesday, January 23 with a pair of sessions open to members of the media on January 23-24 at SuperKick, the Crew’s Official Indoor Training Facility. The team will be in Central Ohio from February 7-12 before traveling to Charleston, South Carolina to participate in the 2019 Carolina Challenge Cup.
