Brian Ensminger is reaching an anniversary of sorts in 2015, which will be his 15th season as a Crew Season Ticket Member. The longtime fan even celebrated the occasion by adding an additional seat to his account for his girlfriend, Holly Haymaker. Brian, who credited his Crew ticket representative Zach for providing excellent service, shared his thoughts about his experience with TheCrew.com.
Throughout your 14 seasons as a Season Ticket Member, what's your favorite Crew memory?
"There have been a lot of them. I remember when we won [MLS Cup], just watching that game and seeing the result, that was probably my highlight. Even though I couldn't be there, it was nice to watch and cheer them on."
How have you seen the club grow, develop and change over your time as a Season Ticket Member?
"It's had its ups-and-downs. I like the way it's going now with the new owner, the new coach and his philosophy. I like that."
What's the best benefit, in your estimation, of being a Season Ticket Member?
"Just being able to come to the game and study the game. A lot of people think soccer is boring, but to me it's almost like an artist on a canvas the way these guys pass the ball back and forth. I really get a kick out of it. I played some earlier in my life, so I really enjoy that."
What would you tell anyone who might be considering becoming a Season Ticket Member or extending his or her Membership?
"It's supporting a team that is a local team. Even though I drive from Mansfield, it's still a local team. Just to support them. If they're a soccer lover, they'll come down to these games because they always put on a good show."
