In conjunction with FOX Sports, Columbus Crew SC tonight announced that its final regular-season contest against D.C. United, slated to kick-off Sunday, October 25 at 5:00 p.m. ET at MAPFRE Stadium, will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. The match was selected to be flexed into the national broadcast slot as part of Major League Soccer's new "Decision Day" platform on the final day of the 2015 MLS regular season.
As part of Decision Day, all Eastern Conference clubs' final regular-season matches kick-off simultaneously at 5:00 p.m. ET as positioning for the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs is determined. The Black & Gold (14-11-8, 50 points) enter Decision Day in third place in the Eastern Conference, one point behind Sunday's opponent, D.C. United (15-12-6, 51 points). A Crew SC victory on Sunday would see Columbus move ahead of D.C. United to take second place in the Eastern Conference, as well as earn a bye from the Knockout Round of the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs.
Sunday's contest is also slated to be broadcast locally over the radio in English on CD102.5 FM and in Spanish on La Mega 103.1 FM. Ticket information for the clash is available at ColumbusCrewSC.com.
