COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC today selected two players in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft 2021 presented by adidas. Crew SC selected defender Justin Malou (Clemson University) with the 27th overall pick in the First Round as well as defender Joshua Jackson-Ketchup (The Ohio State University) with the 25th pick (52nd overall) in the Second Round. The Black & Gold conducted the MLS SuperDraft 2021 virtually from the Crew SC Experience Center, located in Columbus’ Short North.
Malou made 60 appearances (50 starts) for Clemson University, helping the team win the 2020 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournament as well as reach the quarterfinals of the 2019 NCAA Tournament. At the individual level, the defender was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team in 2020.
Jackson-Ketchup, a defender, made 55 appearances for The Ohio State University from 2018-2020 1hile recording four goals and three assists. While with the Buckeyes, Jackson-Ketchup was named to the Dayton All-Tournament Team in 2018.
