Columbus Crew SC travels to Toyota Park to face Chicago Fire in a clash of Midwestern rivals. The match is set to kick off on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Last August, the Fire came to MAPFRE Stadium to suffer an eventual 3-1 defeat. Despite falling behind to Chicago, the Black & Gold stormed back with three unanswered goals — one apiece from Kekuta Manneh and Ola Kamara put Columbus on top before Justin Meram’s go-ahead goal in the 73rd minute put the game on ice.
Chicago is coming off of a 2-2 draw at home against the Portland Timbers. The Fire came back, twice, to earn the draw.
All-time, the Black & Gold hold a 18-24-17 overall record against the Fire.
Columbus Crew SC will travel to D.C. United for their second meeting of the season on Saturday, April 17 at 7 p.m. ET.
The Black & Gold will return to MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday, April 21 to host New England Revolution in a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
