COLUMBUS – MAPFRE Stadium is once again slated to host the Ohio High School Athletic Association's (OHSAA) championship matches for both girls' and boys’ soccer, with six state finals to be played at MAPRE Stadium on this weekend on November 13-14.
The girls' soccer championship matches are set to be held today, November 13. The Division III Championship match will see Kirtland take on Cincinnati Country Day at 1:00 p.m. ET; the Division II Championship will feature a match between Mansfield Madison Comprehensive and Granville at 4:00 p.m. ET; while the Division I Championship match will pit Strongsville against Lewis Center Olentagy at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The boys' championship matches are slated be held on Saturday, November 14. The Division III Championship has Youngstown Cardinal Mooney facing Cincinnati Mariemont at 1:00 p.m. ET; the Division II Championship features a match between Warren Howland and Tipp City Tippecanoe at 4:00 p.m. ET; while Cleveland St. Ignatius is set to face New Albany in the Division I Championship match at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The competing schools are provided with an allotment of up 750 tickets for their match, with tickets distributed through individual athletic programs. Tickets for the match will not be available to the general public in advance or at the event.
MAPFRE Stadium reduced capacity for each match will be 1,500 ticketed individuals. No tailgating will be permitted in the MAPFRE Stadium parking lots. All fans and MAPFRE Stadium staff will be required to wear facemasks at the matches, consistent with state and local health requirements and medical expert guidance. Seating availability is based on adherence to all government and medical expert recommendations, including most notably six (6) feet distancing between trusted seating pods.
