Columbus Crew SC midfielder Ethan Finlay was voted Acura Man of the Match after Saturday’s match against the Chicago Fire at MAPFRE Stadium. Finlay's first half goal helped the Black & Gold secure the 1-1 draw to open the Major League Soccer regular season.

Finlay opened the scoring when he got his head on a cross from Meram in the 17th minute. Finlay also connected on 19 successful passes in the opposition’s half — according to the MLS Audi Index.
Out of 960 total votes on Twitter, Finlay earned 59 percent. At the conclusion of the 20-hour voting period, midfielder Justin Meram finished with 20 percent, goalkeeper Zack Steffen finished with 15 percent, and defender Jukka Raitala finished with six percent.

Crew SC next faces the Houston Dynamo on March 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET in Houston, Texas. The Black & Gold return home on March 25 to host the Portland Timbers for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff at MAPFRE Stadium.
