A mural dedicated to Lucas Zelarayan was revealed in the midfielder's hometown of Cordoba, Argentina last week following Zelarayan's two-goal, one assist performance in Columbus Crew SC's 3-0 win over Seattle in MLS Cup on December 12.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who said MLS Cup was his most special title, has won eight titles in his professional soccer career, which started with Club Atletico Belgrano in 2013 after growing up in the Club's academy system.
As for the mural's location, it's where Zelarayan first started playing soccer, city officials said. Alongside the mural stands a dedicated plaque thanking Zelarayan for his inspiration, noted by the phrase "Sueños que se convierten en realidad", or "Dreams that come true."
