CREW SC LOOKING TO CONTINUE HISTORIC SUCCESS AGAINST MONTREAL
Columbus Crew SC plays its 13th 2015 Major League Soccer regular-season match and its seventh at MAPFRE Stadium by hosting the Montreal Impact on Saturday, June 6. This is the first of two matches between Columbus and Montreal this year. Historically, the Black & Gold have been successful against the Impact with a 6-2-1 record all-time, including a perfect 5-0-0 mark at MAPFRE Stadium. Last season, Columbus went 2-1-0 against Montreal, with the home team emerging victorious in all three contests.
LAST REGULAR SEASON MEETING
On September 27, 2014, Crew SC midfielders Ethan Finlay and Federico Higuain scored, while Steve Clark stopped a Marco Di Vaio penalty attempt en route to a 2-0 victory for the Black & Gold. The win was part of a stretch that saw the Black & Gold win seven straight regular-season home matches, including six in a row to close-out the 2014 campaign.

Crew SC forward Kei Kamara’s second-half tally last Saturday in Orlando helped the forward maintain a two-goal edge top the MLS goal-scoring leaderboard. Kamara’s 10 tallies are two ahead of San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski, who has eight.

According to the League’s official statistician, Opta, Crew SC ranks second in the League in chances created per match (11.2) and is fourth in MLS in big chances created per match (1.1).
