Across the Atlantic, Jonathan Mensah’s Black Stars are approaching Matchday 3 of the 2019 African Cup of Nations Tournament. Currently, Ghana sits in a tie for second place in Group F with Benin. The Black Stars kickoff the final match of group play on Tuesday, July 2 versus Guinea-Bissau, as a win will see Ghana through to the knockout stages, though a tie could as well depending upon the match between Benin and Cameroon.

Concerning the USMNT, both Zardes and Steffen earned the start against Curacao, with Steffen earning the unofficial moment of the match after preventing a potential rocket of an equalizing goal.

On the tournament, Zardes is the only Crew member to appear in all four matches so far (3 starts), while Steffen has started in three matches and Trapp has garnered one start in two appearances.

Mensah, who started in Ghana’s scoreless draw against Cameroon on Saturday, opened his 2019 AFCON account with a substitution appearance vs. Benin last Tuesday. Ghana's kickoff versus Guinea-Bissau is scheduled for noon on Tuesday, July 2.
