Frankie Hejduk has a lot of stories to tell and this one we hadn't heard yet. Frankie's dad, George Hejduk, taught NBA Hall of Famer and all-time points leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar his signature shot, the Skyhook, back when Kareem was still in grade school.
Abdul-Jabbar had been trying to track down George Hejduk for years. They finally connected after Frankie heard the NBA legend talk about his dad on ESPN's Mike & Mike radio show. In an interview on the Rich Eisen Show, Abdul-Jabbar talks about how George Hedjuk taught him his famous shot and what it meant for his career.
