Abu (pronounced: AH-boo) comes from Stromsgodset IF of Norway’s First Division.
In 2010, he won the Norwegian Football Cup with Stromsgodset IF during his debut season.
Abu played alongside Crew SC teammate Ola Kamara at Stromsgodset IF for three seasons (2010-2012)
He is from Accra, Ghana – the same region that Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah are from.
He will be one of four Ghanaian players to wear the Black & Gold jersey this season.
