With Saturday's 2-1 victory over D.C. United, the Crew moved to second-place in the MLS Eastern Conference standings on seven points so far this season. Here is how the rest of the East fared in Week Four action.
1. Montreal Impact - 12 pts. - Week Four: 1-0 W vs. New York Red Bulls
Montreal continues to impress, picking up its fourth victory in as many matches against a Tim Cahill and Thierry Henry-less Red Bulls side. The Impact looks to be on track to rival Sporting KC's win streak of seven matches to start the 2012 season. The Crew heads to Montreal on April 13, which will be the Impact's sixth match of the season.
2. Columbus Crew - 7 pts. - Week Four: 2-1 W at D.C. United
The Black & Gold took care of business on the road against rival D.C. United and will enjoy a week off as it prepares for its next match on April 6 against the Philadelphia Union at home.
3. Houston Dynamo - 6 pts. - Week Four: 2-1 W vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC
The Dynamo extended its unbeaten run at BBVA Compass Stadium to 19 regular season matches in a comeback victory against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Giles Barnes and Warren Creavalle supplied the goals while wing threats Brad Davis and Oscar Boniek Garcia were away on international duty.
4. Philadelphia Union - 6 pts. - Week Four: Idle
The Union had a break from MLS play, but the club was not quiet as the Freddy Adu Era in Philadelphia came to an end. The Union sent the former prodigy to Brazil in exchange for a World Cup winner in Kléberson. The Union travel up I-95 to face the New York Red Bulls on Saturday before visiting Columbus next week.
5. Sporting Kansas City - 5 pts. - Week Four: 0-0 D at New England Revolution
Without Graham Zusi and Matt Besler, Sporting secured a road point in a scoreless draw at New England over the weekend. Sporting KC returns home this week to host the East-leading Montreal Impact on Saturday.
6. D.C. United - 4 pts. - Week Four: 2-1 L vs. Columbus Crew
Just like the week before, United struggled in the attack and forced Bill Hamid to make seven saves in a 2-1 loss against the Crew to snap the Black-and-Red's 19-match home unbeaten streak at RFK Stadium. Brazilian Designated Player Rafael showed promise in his debut, beating Andy Gruenebaum 35 yards out for United's lone tally. D.C. has a break from MLS play this week as the team prepares for a trip to Kansas City on April 5.
7. New England Revolution - 4 pts. - Week Four: 0-0 D vs. Sporting Kansas City
New England picked-up a home point over the weekend while its top goal-scoring threat, Jerry Bengtson, was away on International duty. Matt Reis returned to the lineup to record his second shutout of the season.
8. Toronto FC - 3 pts. - Week Four: Idle
The Reds were idle this week as they welcome LA Galaxy this weekend to BMO Field.
9. New York Red Bulls - 2 pts. - Week Four: 1-0 L at Montreal Impact
The Red Bulls remain winless with Mike Petke at the helm after falling in Montreal over the weekend. Thierry Henry (injury) and Tim Cahill (international duty) could return for this weekend's home tilt against the Philadelphia Union as New York searches for its first win of 2013.
10. Chicago Fire - 1 pt. - Week Four: 4-1 L vs. Chivas USA
The Fire finally found the net, but everything that could go wrong did go wrong on Sunday against Chivas USA. Chicago will welcome a break from MLS action this week as Head Coach Frank Klopas tries to sort out his side before the Fire hosts the New York Red Bulls on April 7.
