The Montreal Impact moved back into first-place with a statement win in Kansas City, while the New England Revolution appears to be on its way to a playoff spot after beating the LA Galaxy 5-0.
Here is how the rest of the Eastern Conference looks heading into the 15th week of play in 2013.
1. Montreal Impact - 26 pts. - Week 14: 2-1 Win at Sporting Kansas City
The Impact reclaimed the top spot in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 2-1 road win against fellow Eastern Conference heavyweight Sporting Kansas City. The recently crowned Canadian champions return to action on June 15 against the Crew in Columbus (TICKETS).
2. New York Red Bulls - 25 pts. - Week 14: 2-1 Loss vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC
Eight minutes after Red Bulls defender Jámison Olave was sent off with his second yellow card, Vancouver striker Kenny Miller netted the winner to hand New York its first loss since April 17. The Red Bulls will have three weeks to regroup before they travel to Philadelphia on June 23.
3. Houston Dynamo - 22 pts. - Week 14: 1-1 Draw at Columbus Crew
The Dynamo was pleased to earn another point on the road against the Crew, especially without regulars Bobby Boswell, Brad Davis and Oscar Boniek Garcia. Houston returns to action on June 19, playing on the road against the first-place Montreal Impact.
4. Sporting Kansas City - 22 pts. - Week 14: 2-1 Loss vs. Montreal Impact
Sporting is now winless in three matches after falling to the Impact. Kansas City won't see MLS action for three weeks as Sporting travels to FC Dallas on June 22.
5. Philadelphia Union - 19 pts. - Week 14: 1-1 Draw at Toronto FC
Jack McInerney's late-game magic struck again as the 20-year-old netted his 10th goal of the season to secure a road point in stoppage time against Toronto FC. Philadelphia could relinquish its fifth place spot if it is beaten by the Crew on Wednesday (7:30 p.m. ET / Univision Deportes, FOX Sports Ohio).
6. New England Revolution - 19 pts. - Week 14: 5-0 Win vs. LA Galaxy
The Revolution took advantage of a Robbie Keane and Omar Gonzalez-less Galaxy side at home to explode for five goals and win their third-straight match. With MLS' best defense having only given up nine goals this season, the Revs could make it four in a row as they take on last-place D.C. United on Saturday.
7. Columbus Crew - 17 pts. - Week 14: 1-1 Draw vs. Houston Dynamo
It was the same old story at home for the Crew: It dictated the play and pace of the game, but settled for a lone point against the Dynamo. However, the Black & Gold could move into fifth place with a win at Philadelphia on Wednesday.
8. Chicago Fire - 11 pts. - Week 14: 2-0 Win vs. D.C. United
Newcomer Mike Magee scored in his MLS debut for the Fire, leading the Men-in-Red to a 2-0 victory over D.C. United on Sunday. Fellow addition Bakary Soumaré anchored the Chicago backline to a shutout against last-place United. The Fire will look to end Portland Timbers FC's 11-match unbeaten run on Saturday at Toyota Park.
9. Toronto FC - 8 pts. - Week 14: 1-1 Draw vs. Philadelphia Union
The Reds seemed destined to end their 10-match winless streak, but a stoppage time Jack McInerney goal for the Union left Toronto FC with just a point on Saturday at BMO Field. Toronto will hope for its first win since March 9 on June 15 when it travels to RFK Stadium to face D.C. United.
10. D.C. United - 5 pts. - Week 14: 2-0 Loss at Chicago Fire
Maybe the U.S. Men's National Team's 4-3 victory against Germany at RFK Stadium will leave a little good luck for United. Having obtained only one point from its last 10 matches, United will need it as it hits the road to face the suddenly hot New England Revolution on Saturday.
