Due to high ticket demand, Columbus Crew SC has announced it will temporarily expand capacity at MAPFRE Stadium and provide a limited quantity of additional seats that will be available for immediate purchase for its match against the LA Galaxy
on Saturday, June 13.
President of Business Operations, Andy Loughnane anticipates a full stadium with Black & Gold supporters exuding energy and excitement.
“The environment our supporters and building generate has helped define MAPFRE Stadium as the true original home field advantage in Major League Soccer,” said Loughnane. “The atmosphere in the stadium during the Galaxy match in 2014 was spectacular.”
The two clubs last met on Saturday, August 16, 2014 in a match in Columbus where the Black & Gold defeated the eventual MLS Cup Champions by a final of 4-1.
Continued Loughnane, “The growth of our season ticket base and overall fan base will be evident as we move deeper into our season, and we are now in position to increase capacity for the
