COLUMBUS – In celebration of the Club’s and City of Columbus’ Latino and Hispanic fans, players and local community, the Columbus Crew will host Latino Celebration Night, presented by Sherwin-Williams, at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field on Sunday, Sept. 27 against Inter Miami CF [7 p.m. ET / Apple TV / Alt 105.7 FM / iHeartRadio app (English); La Mega 103.1 FM, 107.1 FM / La Mega app (Spanish)].
Matchday elements throughout the evening will feature individuals, organizations and moments that celebrate Latino culture and their impact in Central Ohio.
As part of this year’s festivities, the Crew and Sherwin-Williams are partnering to support Alianza 614 through the Sherwin-Williams Gear Donation Drive. Fans are encouraged to donate new and gently used soccer equipment to help provide resources to members of the local community. Supporters attending Sunday’s match can also donate at a special gear collection box located at the Youth Activity Zone on Nationwide Boulevard from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Throughout Columbus, the Sherwin-Williams Gear Donation Drive is collecting new and gently used soccer equipment at participating locations through Oct. 15. Alianza 614 is a Columbus-based organization dedicated to strengthening the Latino community and supporting West Side neighbors through programs, resources and local engagement. They promote well-being and social cohesion while amplifying the voices of those most in need in the Columbus community
Earlier this week, the Crew and Sherwin-Williams hosted their annual Latino Celebration Clinic in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. The partnership welcomed Olimpia USA to Historic Crew Stadium for a practice session and tour of the OhioHealth Performance Center, highlighted by a special appearance from Crew midfielder Andre Gomes. The group also received Latino-inspired Crew and Sherwin-Williams giveaways during the event.
Sunday’s Latino Celebration Night continues the Crew’s efforts to celebrate and connect with Columbus’ Latino community while highlighting the individuals, organizations and cultures that contribute to the region.
