Columbus Crew 2024 Theme Night Calendar

COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew, the reigning MLS Cup champions, open their 29th season later this month and will host 17 regular season MLS matches at Lower.com Field. Complementing the Club’s exciting soccer on the pitch and the venue’s world-class amenities dedicated to creating an exceptional fan experience, the Black & Gold’s home slate features 15 matchday theme nights to further enhance supporters’ experience at Lower.com Field.

This year’s calendar begins with the return of Crewsmas -- the supporter-driven tradition during the first home match of the year -- for the home opener against Atlanta United FC on Saturday, Feb. 24. The Crew will celebrate the Club’s third MLS Cup with the distribution of championship rings to team personnel and the unveiling of the title year on the stadium’s south façade. Additionally, all fans in attendance will receive winter beanies, courtesy of Nationwide.

Following back-to-back road contests, the Black & Gold return home for Star Wars Night against Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, March 9. 

In April, Youth Soccer Night, presented by Pathways Financial Credit Union, will be celebrated against D.C. United on Saturday, April 6, and Back to the 90’s Night, presented by Zenni Optical, returns against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, April 20 after its rad debut in 2023. The month concludes with On Our Sleeves Night, in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, on Saturday, April 27 against CF Montreal. New this year, the Columbus Crew continue their support of children’s mental health by inviting fans to save the date of Saturday, May 4 for the 2024 On Our Sleeves 5K Run and Walk, supported by founding partner and Crew jersey partner Nationwide. 

The Black & Gold begin May with the Hell is Real Derby, presented by Tipico Sportsbook, against FC Cincinnati on Saturday, May 11. The upcoming edition of the rivalry is a rematch of the 2023 Eastern Conference Championship, which the Crew won 3-2 in extra time.

Following three consecutive road matches, the Crew return home for Champion Columbus Night, presented by FCBank, on Saturday, May 29 against the New England Revolution. 

The Black & Gold are celebrating Soccer For All, presented by JPMorgan Chase, during their match against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, June 1. The Crew are dedicated to supporting the Columbus community through their education and youth soccer initiatives, and the team’s Soccer For All initiative further highlights how the club brings people together through soccer, the world’s sport that transcends all borders and demographics.

The Crew celebrate the return of Legacy Night, presented by OhioHealth, against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, June 22. The match will highlight pivotal moments throughout the club’s history, which includes three MLS Cup Championships. 

Military Appreciation Night, presented by AEP, kicks off July as the Crew face Nashville SC on Wednesday, July 3, followed by Mascot Night against Toronto FC on Saturday, July 6. On Wednesday, July 17, one week before Columbus hosts the 2024 MLS All-Star Game at Lower.com Field, fans will be treated to an evening of fireworks courtesy of Lower.com following the Crew’s match with Charlotte FC.

Following the All-Star Game and League's Cup, the Black & Gold will spread awareness during their dedicated Kick Childhood Cancer match, presented by Vertiv, against New York City FC on Saturday, August 31. 

The Crew’s only home game in September will highlight Latino Celebration, presented by Sherwin-Williams, against Orlando City SC. On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Black & Gold’s match will recognize and embrace Latino heritage and culture in Columbus and beyond through music, food and more as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. 

On Saturday, Oct. 5, Columbus’ regular season finale will once again be Fan Appreciation Night, presented by EASE Logistics. The Black & Gold will further emphasize their year-round appreciation for their supporters against the Philadelphia Union. The evening will feature fan tributes, giveaways and more.
