COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew 2 has signed forward Patrick Bohui to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract. The 19-year-old joins the defending MLS NEXT Pro Cup champions after most recently playing with Portuguese side F.C. Vizela’s Under-23 squad.
“We are excited to have Patrick join us in Columbus. He is a young player who has gained valuable experience both in the United States and abroad, and we look forward to helping Patrick further progress and continue to develop his game with Crew 2,” said General Manager Corey Wray.
Bohui joined Vizela in January 2023 and scored one goal in eight appearances. Prior to his time in Portugal, the forward appeared in 14 matches for Danish Superliga club Vejle Boldklub’s U-19s, scoring six goals from 2022-23.
The 19-year-old spent time with both the FC Cincinnati (2020-21) and Philadelphia Union (2019-20) academy programs. While in Philadelphia, Bohui made his professional debut with Bethlehem Steel FC of the USL Championship. He scored two goals in 20 matches for the Union’s USL affiliate from 2019-20.
Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Bohui has represented the United States in multiple ages groups, including the U-16s at the 2019 Nike Friendlies and the U-20s during the preparations for the 2022 Concacaf Championship.
